A community eye hospital, since 2004.

Set up in the Old City to provide affordable ophthalmic care, run as a public trust by the family behind The Siasat Daily.

A private, pro-poor facility, founded by the family behind The Siasat Daily to extend their work in community development into clinical care. Surgeries are performed in an operation theatre opened in 2025, with anti-static flooring and hermetically sealed doors.

What we treat

Specialised ophthalmic care.

Surgical and diagnostic services across cataract, glaucoma, retinal and corneal care, with an on-site pharmacy and surgical theatre.

  • Cataract surgery

    Phacoemulsification and other cataract procedures, using current-generation Johnson & Johnson surgical equipment.

  • Glaucoma management

    Early detection and long-term monitoring of disease progression.

  • Contact lens services

    Fitting and consultation. Soft, rigid gas-permeable, and specialty lenses available.

  • Comprehensive eye examination

    Eye testing for patients of all ages, from routine vision checks to diagnostic workups.

  • Retinal and corneal care

    Treatment for conditions of the retina and cornea, including referrals where specialist intervention is needed.

  • Refractive consultation

    Consultation for refractive errors, including pre-surgical evaluation.
